Soundtrack Your Roadtrip – Captive Events

The sun is beating down on a winding road, a cool breeze whistles through your hair as you admire dramatic sea views and rolling fields. There is just one thing missing from this road trip… the perfect soundtrack. TravelSupermarket contacted Captive North asking for assistance on one of their most successful online marketing campaign.

The Soundtrack Your Life Campaign had Captive North filming five of the best driving roads in the country. Scotland, Lake District, Atlantic Highway, Cheddar Gorge and the Yorkshire Dales. Each of these videos was then uploaded online without any audio or accompanying music and opened up to a competition to allow upcoming composers to create their own soundtrack’s to the videos. 5 of the top tracks were then selected to perform live to the videos at an event in London. The winner received a weekend of free studio time worth up to £2000.

Project Brief:

Record of a variety of road trips in different regions of the UK and editing them down to a series of 5 minute videos.

After my first meeting with Captive North, I was really impressed with the quality of their work, their enthusiasm and how they came across. We were looking for a production company that reflected our internal ambitions to produce video content that would engage and inspire our users and Captive North fitted the brief perfectly. Working with our internal team they have managed to come up with new ideas and create interesting online content for MoneySuperMarket.com and TravelSuperMarket.com.
